The union’s State vicepresident Raja Rao launched the padayatra at Kamareddy town and said that the State government has been unresponsive to the agitations of ASHA workers and alleged that the government is giving lame excuses.

He demanded the State to immediately solve the pending problems of ASHA workers, provide them job guarantee and a salary of Rs 15,000. Raja Rao threatened that their fight will become stronger until the Telangana government solves their issues.

Kamareddy municipal chairman Pippiri Sushma, CITU district president Siddiramulu, CITU leader Chandrashekhar, TDP leaders Osman and other expressed their support for the padayatra. In Sirikonda mandal headquarters, the ASHA workers burnt an effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and raised slogans against the TRS government.
