National Volleyball competition inaugurated

Heavy Water Plant (HWP) chief general manager K Vishwanath inaugurated the ‘National-level Volleyball Competitions’ here at Heavy Water Plant colony in Manuguru in the district on Tuesday. The ‘National-level Volleyball Competitions’ were being organised under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Sports and Cultural Meet-2015.

Manuguru: Heavy Water Plant (HWP) chief general manager K Vishwanath inaugurated the ‘National-level Volleyball Competitions’ here at Heavy Water Plant colony in Manuguru in the district on Tuesday. The ‘National-level Volleyball Competitions’ were being organised under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Sports and Cultural Meet-2015.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishwanath said, “Sports and games will ensure good health, fitness and freedom from various ailments. Many employees of Heavy Water Plant from various States are participating in the competitions.” He urged the organisers to conduct many such competitions which would bring unity among the people of different regions. Later, cultural activities were conducted by the students of the Atomic Energy Central School. About 19 teams from various states were going to participate in the ‘National-level Volleyball Competitions’ which were going to continue till December 19.

Chief administrative officer of HWP Raghavan, officer on special duty Srivasthava, divisional general managers MK Shah, Gupta and Venkateshwarlu and ADM Balaji were present.
