Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy District Congress Committee former president K M Pratap tendered his resignation to primary membership of the party on Friday.

Speaking to the media at his residence at Qutubullapur, Pratap said the Congress party has transformed into a private limited party. He said he will announce his future course of action very soon.

It is learnt that Pratap was planning to join the ruling TRS party within a few days. It may be mentioned here that Pratap faced allegations during the general elections that he had worked against the Congress party. The PCC had also served a show-cause notice on Pratap then. Since then, Pratap distanced himself from Congress party activities.
