Stating that Hyderabad is for Hyderabadis, Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday called upon people to reject outsiders in the ensuing elections to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

Hyderabad : Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi has urged the central government to stop the VHP from bringing stones and pillars into Ayodhya for building a grand Ram temple, saying no activity can be allowed there till the Supreme Court gives its final verdict in the case.

The MP from Hyderabad said the government should act immediately to stop any activity by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, RSS, Bajrang Dal or any other organisation.

"We hope the government will stop its jokers till the Supreme Court decides the case," Owaisi told a massive public meeting organized by his MIM on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi.

Stating that Hyderabad is for Hyderabadis, Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday called upon people to reject outsiders in the ensuing elections to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). He said MIM will contest 70-75 out of 150 seats. The Hyderabad MP said he was confident that a MIM leader will again become Hyderabad's mayor.

Owaisi had a dig at Congress party's Telangana unit chief Uttam Kumar Reddy for his remarks against MIM and for meeting people involved in the bid on the life of his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi.

Terming Congress leader an outsider, he launched a bitter attack on the party. The MP also trained guns on the TDP and the BJP. Owaisi, however, spared TRS, triggering speculations that MIM will have an electoral understanding with the ruling party.
