Hyderabad: Asking the ruling party, which earlier demanded change in Metro Rail alignment, how it would seek votes of Hyderabad people in the coming GHMC elections, Telangana Pradesh Congress Party (TPCC) made it clear that the Congress alone had transformed Hyderabad into a world class city.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress was the only party that would strive for the welfare of all people living in metropolitan city. He also said the Congress was credited with bringing University of Hyderabad, IICT, ISB, TATA Aero Space and Biological institutions.
The Congress had transformed the city into an attractive world class city and provided facilities for all sections of people here. Questioning the TRS to tell what it had done for the development of Hyderabad, Vikramarka alleged that the TRS was planning to sell lands in Hyderabad. The TRS government had planned to destroy Osmania University and encroach upon its lands, he alleged. He also said the TRS government was seriously thinking of destroying the city.
The TRS government never solved any problem of the people of Hyderabad, he alleged. He also ridiculed the TRS by asking it if the people of Hyderabad would cast their votes to it just because it erected tall hoardings.
