KCR releases book on Telangana movement
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao released a book titled ‘Telangana Udyamala Charitra - Rashtra Aavirbhavam’ penned by political analyst V Prakash here on Monday at his camp office.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao released a book titled ‘Telangana Udyamala Charitra - Rashtra Aavirbhavam’ penned by political analyst V Prakash here on Monday at his camp office.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said writing of the book on the history of Telangana and the movement was a great effort and nobody had written Telangana history in such a comprehensive manner like Prakash did in the past. He said Prakash had witnessed several incidents during Telangana movement directly and penned the book with his experience.
He said the book would help as a reference material for job aspirants, who would write examinations conducted by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC). He also suggested that this book would be kept available in colleges, schools and public libraries for the benefit of the students and people.
Later, the Chief Minister felicitated Prakash and his wife with shawls. Power Minister G Jagdeesh Reddy, Government Advisor K V Ramana Chary and Planning Commission Vice-President Niranjan Reddy were present.
