GHMC poll notification to be out on Tuesday
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections notification will be released on Tuesday by the State Election Commission and the nominations for the elections will be accepted till January 17.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections notification will be released on Tuesday by the State Election Commission and the nominations for the elections will be accepted till January 17.
The elections will be held on February 2 and results will be declared on February 5. To look into the election process, Constituency-wise Returning officers have been designated for various divisions. The eligibility of candidates to contest in the elections is that the candidate - an Indian citizen who holds a voter certificate from the municipal office of the GHMC area and be enrolled as a voter in any of the wards.
The nomination deposit for the candidate is Rs 5,000 for General and OBC candidates while the SC/ST candidates need to deposit Rs 2,500.
