20 cr minority scholarships released

Hyderabad: The Telangana State government on Monday released `20 crore towards the scholarships of students belonging to minority communities. The released amount includes `5 crore for Pre-Matric and `15 crore for Post-Matric scholarships.

So far, the State government has released `55 crore towards Pre-Matric scholarships while `117.4 crore were released for Post-Matric scholarships. Of `425 crore allocated in Budget 2015-16 towards scholarships, the State government has so far released `173.40 crore.
