GHMC elections: KCR constitutes committee to select candidates
TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao appointed a five-member committee to select right candidates for the ensuing GHMC elections.
TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao appointed a five-member committee to select right candidates for the ensuing GHMC elections. To maintain transparency while giving tickets, a committee with K. Keshav Rao as its Chairman has been formed with D Srinivas, Kadiyam Sri Hari, KTR and Indira Karan Reddy being part of the committee as members.
The committee would pick candidates with transparency by conducting interval surveys and recommendations of other candidates may not work this time. But leaders from Hyderabad will be consulted before finalizing the candidates. Interestingly, no TRS leader from Hyderabad is included in the committee. Sources say the list of candidates will be finalised soon and the committee is seriously involved in the process.
