Allot 2BHK houses to all eligible, demands CPI (M)

Khammam: Allot double bedroom houses to all those people to whom the pattas were given earlier, demanded the Communist Party of India (CPI-Marxist) district leader Y Srikanth here in the town on Tuesday.

The party activists and leaders on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Mandal Revenue Officer Venkat Reddy urging him to allow the double bedroom houses to all those eligible persons in all the divisions of Khammam town to whom the pattas are given earlier.

Speaking on the occasion Srikanth said that the government has conducted surveys and resurveys several times in Khammam town to allot lands and houses to the poor who were living under miserable conditions. In the name of double bedroom houses, the government was once again conducting surveys.

But many poor people who were eligible and those who were living in rented houses facing several problems were missing from the list, he added. He lamented that in the three divisions of Khammam town the government had given pattas to the eligible people in the past after conducting a survey but did not show them the land till now.

The CPM leader demanded the government that they should allow double bedroom houses to all those people to whom the pattas were given without showing lands. Responding to the CPI (M) party leaders, MRO Venkat Reddy assured them that the issue would be brought to the notice of the district Collector if all those eligible submit the true copies of the pattas which were allotted to them previously.

CPI (M) leaders Y Srinivas Rao, B Yakaiah, Shaikh Bhabhi, V Srinivas Rao, M Rama Rao, K Saidulu, P Naga Sulochana, A Venkanna, G B Chowdari, S K Imam, A Nagesh, P Upendra and S K Qasim were present along with others.
