Tummala to inaugurate oil palm factory tomorrow
Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao would be inaugurating the second oil palm factory on Thursday. He would be accompanied by Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy.

To resolve the problems of the farmers growing oil palm, the Telangana State government decided to establish a second oil palm factory here at Apparaopet of Dammapet mandal in the district.
In view of the growing demand for the high yielding fresh oil palm fruits, the State Oil Federation decided to sanction new processing unit at Apparaopet with a crushing capacity of 30 tonnes per hour at a cost of Rs 62 crore.
The area under oil palm cultivation is estimated to be around 2,000 hectares in the district. Meanwhile, the farmers cultivating oil palm expressed happiness for establishing a new oil palm factory in the district.
