Nalgonda: Kalyana Lakshmi scheme would be implemented to all white ration card holders from March 31, informed Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy.
The Minister participated in Abbas Dargah Urs at PK Mallepally village of Dindi mandal on Sunday and offered special prayers. Later speaking to the media, Indrakaran Reddy reminded that the State government has been extending financial assistance for the marriages of SCs and minorities under Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes respectively. Chief Minister Chandrashekar Reddy has decided to extend the scheme to BCs also. Hence, Kalyana Lakshmi would be extended to all the white card holders from March 31, he added.
The government has already released Rs 8 crore to the district for the arrangements of ghats for Krishna Pushkarams, which would be observed in August. In addition to this, Rs 107 crore was sanctioned for the expansion of Hyderabad-Nagarjuna Sagar road, he added.Zilla Parishad Chairman Balu Naik and others were present.
