BJP hopes to win GWMC poll
BJP state president G Kishan Reddy expressed hope that the party would win the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) elections. There has been a trend where the TRS has been winning all the elections recently, but the GWMC elections would change that and the public in Warangal were going to support the Opposition parties, he anticipated.

Speaking to press persons in Hanamkonda on Friday, Kishan Reddy asserted that the development of Warangal and Telangana would only possible with the BJP which was in rule at the Centre. The programmes like National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana were implemented in Warangal by the Centre, he added.
The BJP leader appealed the voters to support the BJP in the election to ensure development of the city. He said that the party has decided to fight the election alone, following a resolution by the BJP local unit, which was given independence to decide whether to have alliance with TDP or not.
