SIO activists stage dharna
The Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) leaders strongly condemned the over involvement of police and central ministers in the affairs of JNU, New Delhi. The SIO activists have on Friday staged a dharna at Kakatiya University Cross in Hanamkonda where the organisation city secretary Md Yaseer Ali demanded immediate release of JNU students, who were arrested by Delhi police.
Warangal: The Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) leaders strongly condemned the over involvement of police and central ministers in the affairs of JNU, New Delhi. The SIO activists have on Friday staged a dharna at Kakatiya University Cross in Hanamkonda where the organisation city secretary Md Yaseer Ali demanded immediate release of JNU students, who were arrested by Delhi police.
He wanted to address the issue of sedition case with all due judicial process. The issue of JNU was blown out of proportion to deviate issues of HCU scholar Rohith Vemula’ death, he said. The protesting activists have also condemned alleged attack on SIO cadre in Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh for expressing solidarity to Rohit’s case and JNU students. The SIO city president Md Mustafeez-ul-haq, leader Md Abu Bakar and others were present.
