Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team of Cyberabad Police raided a private party and apprehended 11 men and women for performing obscene dance. The police took custody of seven female dancers, a female singer and three others including the event organizer. The police said that they raided the premises at Indrareddynagar in Janwada village under Narsingi police station limits acting on credible information on Sunday.

The event organizer, Arram Krishna Murthy of Feelkhana, organizer Ganapath Singh of Jumerath Bazar, dancers Riva of Langer House, Shruthi from Sri Nagar Colony, Naziya Hansari of Kacheguda, Geetham Anmol, Payal Thakur and Rani of Mumbai and female singer Varali Swathi of Kavadiguda were taken into custody while the orchestra-cum-manager of the female dancers, Surender, managed to escape from the spot.

The police seized liquor and handed over the apprehended persons to the Narsingi police for further action, the SOT police said.
