Woman’s suicide sparks protests

Nizamabad: A newly married woman committed suicide by hanging herself in the town on Monday due to the harassment of her husband and in-laws and died in a private nursing home while taking treatment. The father of the deceased alleged that his son-in-law and his family members hanged her and later, admitted the dead body in a hospital on the pretext of undergoing treatment. Going into details, Sai Krishna and Shailaja fell in love and got married, in spite of stiff opposition from their family members After marriage, they used to indulge in frequent quarrels.

Shailaja became tense and tried to commit suicide, but her in-laws saved her and got her admitted into a private nursing home. On Monday morning, Shilaja died at hospital while undergoing treatment. But Shailaja’s family members staged a protest in-front of Hope hospital and alleged that Saikrishna and their family members killed their daughter and admitted her in the hospital after killing her. They demanded stringent action against those responsible for her death. Police had to intervene and restore order when the family members of Saikrishna and Shailaja clashed with each other.
