KCR extends monetary help to farmer’s daughter’s marriage

Rayaparthy (Warangal): Phanikara Mallaiah, a farmer from Rayaparthy, performed his second daughter Renuka marriage on Friday thanks to financial assistance extended by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Mallaiah shot into fame as he questioned TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu during the latter’s Warangal tour on the question of separate Telangana State. The TRS chief KCR appreciated Mallaiah for his courage.

The Chief Minister, during his visit to Warangal in 2015, promised to extend financial assistance to Mallaiah to help him perform his daughters’ marriage as he is poor. As promised, KCR presented Rs 13 lakh to Mallaiah. Of it, Rs 5 lakh each in the form of fixed deposits to his two daughters and Rs 3 lakh towards wedding cost.

The amount was handed over by the TRS district in-charge P Sudharshan Reddy to Mallaiah. Mallaiah has three daughters and the elder daughter got married some time ago and the second daughter Renuka got married to Kumaraswamy at Rayaparthy on Friday. “I will remain ever grateful to the Chief Minister,” he said.
