Farmers in a tizzy monkey menace
Apart from drought, water scarcity and the others, the farmers of late have to face the monkey menace. The monkeys were attacking the people, damaging the trees and plucking all the fruits in Kothagudem village of Arvapally mandal in the district. Crazy monkeys were destroying standing crops giving the farmers sleepless nights.

The fruit orchards and vegetable farms were badly damaged. Farmers, who were already facing a lot of hardships due to the depletion of the water resources, were getting irritated with the large number of monkeys. Since summer is the season for mangoes, monkeys were plucking and running away with the mango fruits. The farmers fed up with the monkey menace and setup nets in the orchards, to protect their fruits from the mischievous animals.
