Students role key to achieve Bangaru Telangana: Collector
Role of students will be the key in developing Telangana into a Bangaru Telangana, said Mahbubnagar district collector, Dr T K Sridevi. She was addressing Class X students at a motivation session, ‘Prerana classes’ at Sahiti College of Education in Nagarkurnool on Tuesday.

The ‘Prerana classes’ are organized with an aim to motivate and boost the self confidence levels of meritorious students of Class X. Anantha Jyothirmai Seva Samithi, the organisers of the programme, observed that it help the students to understand themselves better and learning how to live independently.
The collector, who was the chief guest at event, reiterated that eradicating poverty and backwardness in the district will be realised only through educating the society. To achieve development, the children must get proper education, she added.
Expressing her concern over the low literacy levels and rising number of school dropouts, the collector blamed lack of awareness among the students about career opportunities. “Poverty and non-availability of a balanced diet also contribute to the poor studies of students. Students must overcome these hurdles and achieve good ranks in the upcoming examinations,” the collector advised.
The collector urged the students to work hard to secure highest pass percentage for the Mahbubnagar district in the SSC exams. To improve the education in the district, she advised the officials of Education Department and Education Associations to come forward and adopt the primary schools on the lines of upper primary schools.
