Hyderabad: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Wednesday exhorted newly inducted IAS officers to be transparent and proactive in their services to the public so that the basic faith of common man in bureaucracy would be upheld.

He was speaking at the valedictory function of the induction training of newly conferred IAS officers at Dr MCR Human Resource Development Institute here. The six weeks induction program was conducted to a batch of 60 freshly promoted State level officers to all India services.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the successful implementation of the welfare and development programmes launched by the government was in the hands of the officials. The benefits of the schemes would reach the needy when the officials perform, he added.

Ali said Shaadi Mubarak Scheme, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, tapped drinking water to every house and the flagship project of constructing and giving double bedroom houses to the poor and homeless were not only revolutionary in nature but are becoming a benchmark in themselves as the welfare measures intended to address poverty, for other states to follow in the country.
