Warangal: The officials and personnel of district Excise department were felicitated by Director of Enforcement (Excise) Akun Sabharwal for earning revenue of Rs 3.14 crore for the department during Medaram Jatara. The revenue was earned through event permits sanctioned during the Jatara.

At a special programme at Directorate of Enforcement in Hyderabad recently, Sabharwal felicitated and presented certificate of appreciation to 12 officials and staff of Warangal excise wing. He lauded their efforts in preventing flow of illicit, spurious and adulterated liquor at Jatara.

Medaram Excise Officer Special Duty (OSD) P Srinivas Rao, Medaram liaison officer and task force (Mahabubabad) CI MPR Chandrashekar, Inspector (Mulug) J Indraprasad, Assistant Superintendents (Enforcement) R Mahipal Reddy of Warangal and P Karam Chand of Mancherial, Sub-Inspectors A Sunitha and GV Rammohan Rao, head constable B Mallesham, constables P Ramesh, M Ramesh, Md Gafar, and P Suresh were felicitated.

Excise Deputy Commissioner G Narsa Reddy, Assistant Commissioner M Ramesh Raj and Mahabubabad Excise Superintendent P Sesh Rao congratulated the officials and staff for receiving appreciation from the director.
