Election petition against TRS MLA dismissed

Justice M S Ramachandra Rao of the High Court at Hyderabad on Tuesday dismissed an election petition questioning the election of K Vidyasagar Rao from Korutla Assembly constituency in Karimnagar district.

The judge was dealing with a petition filed by K Naresh Kumar. The petitioner complained that though he had contested on Shiva Sena party ticket, the returning officer failed in allotting the party symbol resulting in the voters getting confused and electing the TRS candidate.

After hearing the case, the judge dismissed the plea on the ground of the plea was devoid of merits and lacking of evidence to prove the case of the petitioner.
