UoH SC/ST faculty furious over VC’s mail
The Forum alleged that the administration is attempting to isolate and intimidate them by holding individual Dalit faculty responsible for its collective decision the Forum said in a release on Tuesday.
Hyderabad: The SC/ST Faculty Forum of University of Hyderabad on Tuesday demanded that vice-chancellor Prof. Appa Rao Podile desists from holding individual Dalit faculty responsible for the collective decision of the Forum over resignations from administrative posts.
The Forum alleged that the administration is attempting to isolate and intimidate them by holding individual Dalit faculty responsible for its collective decision the Forum said in a release on Tuesday.
The forum further said Prof. Appa Rao, was one of the main perpetrators of caste atrocities on the students way back in 2001. “Today, he is not only responsible for the suicide of Rohit Vemula but also for the police brutalities and arrest of faculty members including Dr. K Y Ratnam, a Dalit faculty on trumped up charges,” the forum stated.
