New Delhi: Minister for Law Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, here on Sunday, assured the Supreme Court that the State government would do its best to upgrade the infrastructure for judiciary in every sense as it was drawing ambitious plans in this regard.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is keen that pendency of cases should be dealt with on priority basis and if needed, Telangana would soon see the courts functioning with full staff in the mornings, evenings and on holidays too. Common man should not suffer, he said, while assuring Chief Justice T S Thakur that the government would work in close coordination with the Judiciary.
Explaining his government's commitment towards judiciary, Indrakaran Reddy, at a conference of the CJs and CMs, said new buildings would come up for courts in the State.
He later told media that he was pained to see the Chief Justice moved by the inability of the existing courts to tackle the pendency of cases as large number of vacancies were imposing extraordinary burden on the judiciary. "Still, with all the difficulties, the judiciary is doing a commendable job and we are all thankful to the judges," he said.
