Congress stages demonstration

​Mahbubnagar: The Congress leaders and activists on Tuesday staged demonstration at Rajiv Gandhi Chowk to protest against the government’s failure to come to the rescue of farmers. District Congress Committee President Obedulla Kotwal criticised the government for its indifference towards suffering of the farmers.

The government had failed to provide succour to the people. The district was reeling under severe drought conditions, he said. He demanded that the government announce relief measure and increase work days under the MGNREGA) and provide employment to all.
