Khammam: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said that his only dream now was to see ‘green Telangana’. Speaking at a public meeting organised on the occasion of Telangana Rashtra Samiti’s 15th Plenary in here on Wednesday, KCR said ''I am 63 years old now. I have achieved Telangana, which is more than the post of Chief Minister.

Now, my only dream is to see ‘green Telangana with 24-hour power supply and roads free from potholes. I will not rest until this goal is achieved ''. KCR said he accepted the post of Chief Minister because he wanted to see Telangana win by standing upright.

The government would provide 24-hour three phase power to the farmers by the end of 2019. He said that for the planning at the grass root levels was required to remove the ill effects of so many years.

KCR said that he has put the lives of many leaders at stake by stating that he would not seek votes if he fails to provide drinking water through pipelines. He said that by 2017 December 95 per cent of the project would complete and by the end of December 2016 water would be provided to 6,200 villages.

He said that the Telangana agitation was based on demands for water, funds and appointments. Two of the three demands for funds and appointments were achieved and water issue was to be solved. He said government allocated Rs 25,000 crore for irrigation projects.

The Chief Minister said that the government had come to the rescue of RTC workers, who are agitated over privatisation. Government is providing Rs 700 crore to RTC and Rs 215 crore per annum through GHMC to overcome the losses.

Stating that people had supported TRS in every election, he said that if people want justice to be done, they should continue the support.

KCR recalled the Telangana agitation and his statements during the movement. He said not many believed him that Telangana would be a reality one day when he started the party.
