Gutha slams KCR for sniping at Congress

TRS supremo told to be grateful to Sonia for being CM

New Delhi: Congress MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy criticised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for targetting the Congress politically day in and day out. He was speaking to the media here on Friday.

Advising the CM not to overplay Telangana sentiment, Reddy reminded him that it was Sonia Gandhi who delivered on the promise of separate
Statehood for Telangana. But for her commitment to the Telangana cause, there would have been no Telangana in the face of stiff opposition from the TDP and the YSRCP.

That being the case, KCR should be ever grateful as he owed his CM post and power to Sonia Gandhi and to none else, he said. The State had every right over Krishna and Godavari waters and it should go ahead with all the projects sanctioned without delay but to take credit for the same was wrong. It was the primary duty of the government to build projects and ensure drinking and irrigation water for the people, he said.
