Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma on Saturday launched the Digital Visitor Pass Management System to enter into Telangana Secretariat premises.

The new system will be implemented with effect from June 2, on the formation day of Telangana State. The visitors must bring Aadhaar Card or any of the following ID proofs i.e., driving licence, government office ID, PAN card, ration card, voter ID, etc., to take entry pass to the Secretariat at the main gate reception, opposite Lumbini Park.

Daily passes will be issued during the visiting hours from 3 pm to 5 Pm. Senior officials including Principal Secretary Adhar Sinha, Additional Secretary (General) N Shankar, CRO and GA (SB) Department Ch Bangaru Raju and other officials participated in the launching programme.

The officials said the government had launched the new system as part of tightening security in the VIP zone.
