Khammam: Telugu Desam Telangana State general secretary Seethakka said that ruling TRS is politically bankrupt as the party is totally dependent on leaders produced by the TDP. Speaking at the Mini Mahanadu at the NGO Function Hall here on Sunday, she pointed out many of the ministers in the Cabinet originally belong to the TDP.

It was TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu who braved the lathis of the Maharashtra police staged a protest in Dharmabad of Nanded district to stop the construction of Babli,” TDP Politburo member and former MP Nama Nageswar Rao said

“In a way, the ruling TRS is accepting that TDP has produced umpteen numbers of leaders who are capable of being inducted into its Cabinet,” she said. Recalling the party’s fight against the Maharashtra government opposing the controversial construction of Babli project, Politburo member and former MP Nama Nageswar Rao said that TDP is the only party in the State that has been fighting for the cause of the farmers and downtrodden sections.

“It was TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu who braved the lathis of the Maharashtra police staged a protest in Dharmabad of Nanded district to stop the construction of Babli,” Rao said. He also claimed credit for the TDP for ensuring the cancellation of Bayyaram mining lease allotted to Rakshana Steels, reportedly promoted by Brother Anil Kumar, the son-in-law of the then chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Stating that party’s fight against the anti-people policies of the government will continue, the district president Tulluri Brahmaiah urged the party cadres to work for the strengthening of the party. He said that committees to the all subsidiary wings of the party will be appointed by May 27.

On the occasion, the party passed a few resolutions. They are - the TRS government had totally failed in addressing the problems of the drought-affected farmers, failure in ensuring social justice, corruption in government projects, failure to fulfill ruling party’s promises made during the elections, failure to exert pressure on Central government for establishing a steel factory at Bayyaram etc.

Sathupally MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, SC Cell state president Srinivas, in-charges of all constituencies in the district and a host of leaders were present in the Mahanadu.
