​Hyderabad: Telangana State on Monday received 0.5 tmcft of Krishna water released by Karnataka from Narayanpur dam on the request of the State government to quench the thirst of drought-hit Mahbubnagar district.
The released water reached Priyadarshini Jurala project on Monday afternoon. The neighbouring State assured the release of one tmcft water during Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao’s recent visit to Bengaluru. Officials said that another 0.5 tmcft of water would be released by Wednesday.
