Telangana Poru Dwisati-Patallo Telangana Lolli Book released

He attended a function for the release of a book, titled ‘Telangana Poru Dwisati-Patallo Telangana Lolli’ written by writer and lecturer Marka Shanker Narayana, at Kakatiya University SDLCE in Hanamkonda on Friday. The book release programme was held under the aegis of Telangana Government Colleges Gazetted Teachers Association and was presided over by its state general secretary NVN Chary.

Speaking on the occasion, Narayana said Sakala Janula Samme was the turning point in Telangana statehood movement, the TJAC agitations and TRS’s singular agenda of achieving separate Telangana have added life to the movement. Real Telangana activists, who have made great contributions for the statehood cause, should be not be neglected, he said while lauding the contributions of writers in the movement and for breathing life into Telangana literary traditions and slang.

The CPI leader appreciated the efforts of Shankar Narayana for depicting the statehood movement in his poems in the book in an inspiring manner. Prof Katyayani speaking after releasing the book commended Shankar Narayana for portraying Telangana movement and its history in more than 200 poems and in dozens of songs.

Writer-poet Anwar and assistant professor V Sampath Reddy reviewed the book. The book author, Shankar Narayana, shared his experiences in writing the book. Arasam state secretary P Veeraswamy, TRCTA president P Sarangapani, CPI district secretary T Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
