Nalgonda: The stage is set for Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy to join the TRS within a couple of days. After holding direct discussions and given an assurance by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Gutha and his follower, Miryalaguda MLA Bhaskar Rao are ready to join the TRS bandwagon.

It’s learnt that during discussions, Gutha promised KCR that he would strengthen the TRS in the district using his wide network in the TDP and Congress. But at the same time, he put a few demands before KCR that he would resign as Member of Parliament as he won it on Congress ticket and asked him to honor with a minister post by making him an MLC under Governor quota.
Till then, he urged that he may be deputed in any of the cabinet ranked posts as it was done in the case of former PCC president D Srinivas.

Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s rivals in the TRS succeeded in their efforts in persuading Gutha to join their party to put check to Komatireddy who created ripples in TRS cadre for the last two years in the name of leakages that he would shift to TRS very soon.

At last, Gutha is going to get his long cherished dream of becoming a minister. On the other hand, Gutha’s shifting from Congress would cause a headache to PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy.

If the Congress fails to retain its seat in the by-election, necessitated if Gutha resigns, then Komatireddy brothers and other dissident leaders are likely to intensify their attack on Uttam Kumar, which may lead to a change of TPCC President by AICC.

Predicting the problems which may arise after Gutha’s switching over to TRS, the PCC president is holding discussions with Gutha and MLA Bhaskar Rao with the help of senior leader Jana Reddy and trying his best to hold them back.
