Power staff urged to shelve strike move
Telangana TRANSCO and GENCO Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao on Saturday requested the Telangana Electricity Trade Union Front leaders to withdraw the proposed strike from June 15 as the government was sympathetic towards addressing the demands raised by the employees.

During the meeting with the representatives of the union, the official said negotiations were taken place in a congenial and harmonious environment. On the issues which cannot be settled immediately, the managements and the union members had agreed to refer the same to the committee constituted recently.
Prabhakar Rao said it was also agreed by both of them that the issues requiring policy decisions would be taken up once again for discussion before Energy minister G Jagadish Reddy on June 14. The union members also agreed to this.
