Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that the government was committed to provide a healthy, safe and happy environment for neglected children in the State.

He who visited the government children’s home for the girls at Nimboliadda interacted with girls of different age groups and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. He assured the girls that the government would provide all the required facilities at the home.

During his visit, he directed the officials to send proposals for the construction of additional dormitories, bathrooms, toilets and purchase of necessary furniture in the classrooms etc. Mahmood Ali instructed the HMWSSB officials to resolve the long pending drainage and drinking water issue at the home on a priority.

He also instructed officials to set up a RO treatment plant so that the children have access to safe drinking water. The deputy CM emphasised on the importance of providing an enabling environment at the home so that every girl child stands up on her own and faces the outside world once they go out. He asked the officials to stress more on formal education and vocational training.
