Hyderabad: A Cabinet Sub-Committee headed by Housing Minister A Indrakaran Reddy and comprising Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Saturday made a visit to places where joint venture project remained incomplete. They are at Gachibowli and Kukatpally in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajender expressed displeasure at the tardy pace of the works causing loss to the state exchequer. He attributed the delay of the project to the negligence on the part of previous government.

Though the previous regime sanctioned 19 joint venture projects in public and private partnership, only one was completed and the rest still remained incomplete, Rajender said. While the work on nine projects remained half-completed, the rest were yet to begin, he observed.

He expressed ire at the officials for failing to register the houses on the names of the owners. He also sought to know as to why the projects were not completed as per the agreement. The sub-committee would get all the details and see that the projects are completed on time.

Later at MCR HRD meeting with the project management, the committee promised to resolve their problems. “We need to work together for avoiding delays and complete the project on time”, Indrakaran said. He said measures would be taken against for completion of the project. A report would be submitted to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in this regard, he added.
