The Hyderabad High Court on Friday decided to hear the arguments on the review petitions on its judgement on bifurcation of High court delivered in 2015.

Telangana State government and Telangana Advocates JAC are seeking review of the judgement delivered by the division bench comprising of the then Chief Justice Kalyan Sengupta and Justice Sanjay Kumar.

The division bench had directed initiation of process of bifurcation of High Court within six months and also directed the Central government to finance the construction of the new HC. The Telangana State government and Advocates JAC are seeking review because in that judgement the High Court had also made it clear that there cannot be two High Courts functioning from Hyderabad itself.

Andhra Pradesh Advocate General sought time to argue the case before the present Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice P V Sanjay Kumar. The Central government represented by Additional Solicitor General too sought time to air its views on the matter. Accordingly the case has been posted to July 21.
