KTR launches Haritha Haram in Hyderabad

The mega Haritha Haram programme was launched today in Hyderabad as the Telangana government plans to plant as many as 25 lakh saplings in a single day in over four thousand places in the city.

In a move to protect the environment, the state government has been taking steps to make the city green and healthier. As a part of the Haritha Haram programme, IT Minister KT Rama Rao planted saplings at the IT Corridor on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that both government and private sectors have come forward to plant the saplings in in various places today.
Over 105 government and private organizations are participating in this mega plantation and nearly 4000 sites across Hyderabad have been identified for this plantation.
