Former Minister to lead study team to Haryana

Former Minister for Environment and Chairman of Forum for Utilisation of Godavari Waters Marri Shashidhar Reddy will be leading a delegation comprising Prof K Purushotham Reddy, Dr T Indrasena Reddy and G Niranjan, to study the Jawahar Lal Nehru Lift Irrigation Project in Haryana.
Hyderabad: Former Minister for Environment and Chairman of Forum for Utilisation of Godavari Waters Marri Shashidhar Reddy will be leading a delegation comprising Prof K Purushotham Reddy, Dr T Indrasena Reddy and G Niranjan, to study the Jawahar Lal Nehru Lift Irrigation Project in Haryana.
During their visit, they would study the pumping stations and distributaries and hold discussions with officials about the various aspects of the design, operations and management of the project. “This is very important in the context of the ongoing debate about the design of the irrigation projects in Telangana. We will also address the media”, said Shashidhar Reddy.
