22 temples yet to be renovated for Pushkaralu
Though the Pushkar Ghat works along the Krishna River is carried out at a speedier pace in the district, the renovation works on the proposed 22 temples along the River and near the Pushkar Ghats are yet to be taken up.
Mahabubnagar: Though the Pushkar Ghat works along the Krishna River is carried out at a speedier pace in the district, the renovation works on the proposed 22 temples along the River and near the Pushkar Ghats are yet to be taken up.
The district administration had identified 22 temples along the Krishna River to be renovated and accordingly had sent proposals for release of funds for minor constructions and painting of all the temple premises.
The issue came up for review during a Video Conference on Krishna Pushkaralu with the Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, the District collector Dr. T.K.Sridevi appraised the CS about all steps being taken to complete all the works related to Krishna Puskaralu in time.
However, the collector expressed concern over the delay in release of funds from the government for the renovation of 22 temples along the river.
The collector apart from seeking release funds for renovation of temples, also asked the government to erect LED boards along the National Highway providing information about the traffic and rush at the Pushkara ghats,
so that based on this information, the crowds and traffic can be diverted to other places, which will enable easy crowd managements at the Pushkara ghats.
