Zilla Sadhana JAC conducts signature campaign
After a brief respite following the arrests by police, the Jangaon Zilla Sadhana JAC leaders have re-launched their agitation demanding creation of Jangaon district here on Thursday.
​Jangaon (Warangal): After a brief respite following the arrests by police, the Jangaon Zilla Sadhana JAC leaders have re-launched their agitation demanding creation of Jangaon district here on Thursday.
Responding to a signature campaign called by the JAC, hundreds of residents of Jangaon came out voluntarily on the streets expressing their support for the cause of separate Jangaon district even as section 144 was in force in Jangaon town.
The Zilla Sadhana JAC has conducted a campaign aiming to collect one lakh signatures in support of their demand.
As part of which, a kilometre long white cloth was displayed in the town covering the stretch between Ambedkar Statue at Jangaon Junction and Nehru Park.
Speaking to press persons, the JAC chairman A Dashmanth Reddy said the signature campaign was taken up as part of their agitation.
The signatures collected would be submitted to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao soon.
Public from different walks of life made their signatures on the cloth expressing their desire.
