Hyderabad: The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) would organise a seminar on ‘Telangana State and Employment Opportunities’ at 10 am at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Bagh Lingampally on Thursday.

Announcing the same after releasing a wall poster of the seminar here at the JAC office on Tuesday, JAC chairman M Kodandaram said at a time when professions and agriculture were under crisis, keeping an eye on the employment opportunities was also needed. He said even private companies were offering jobs to people who were well-educated and experts in the field.

Stating that private sector was not providing employment on expected lines, the JAC Chairman said, “There should be discussion on finding ways to generate employment and also should see what is needed to be done for employment generation in private sector.

We have to decide whether employment can be generated only through investments or investments should be invited with only target of providing employment.”

He also said it should also be decided which type of education policy was needed. “We don’t think we have answers right now. But, it is a beginning. Small debate has started,” he said, urging the unemployed youth to participate in the meeting to give their suggestions.

The JAC leaders have demanded the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to provide payment for 42-day period of ‘Sakala Janula Samme’ to all its employees. He said it would be injustice to the employees as many of them were on leave to promote the ‘Sakala Janula Samme’
