Warangal Police Commissionerate Cricket Cup-2016 takes off
The Police Commissioner, G Sudheer Babu, on Saturday launched Warangal Police Commissionerate Cricket Cup-2016 at police parade grounds in Hanamkonda.
Warangal: The Police Commissioner, G Sudheer Babu, on Saturday launched Warangal Police Commissionerate Cricket Cup-2016 at police parade grounds in Hanamkonda.
The initiative was taken as part of people-friendly policing. About 150 teams under the Commissionerate limits have been taking part in the mega cricket event, which would be concluded on August 17. The Commissioner has played in the opening match between Warangal A and Warangal B teams.
Later Commissioner, Sudheer Babu, advised the youth to play an active role in the protection of law and order. The youth should engage themselves in creative work and academics to excel in their lives, he added.
The preliminary rounds of the tournament would be held at grounds at sub-divisional headquarters. The semi-finals and finals of the limited overs cricket tournament would be held at police parade grounds in Hanamkonda.
