Akbaruddin recounts attack on him
AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on Tuesday testified in Nampally court in a case of attack on him at Barkas in 2011. He identified all the 13 accused charged with attacking him.
Hyderabad: AIMIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on Tuesday testified in Nampally court in a case of attack on him at Barkas in 2011. He identified all the 13 accused charged with attacking him. Akbaruddin Owaisi recalled that he was shot at and also inflicted injuries with knives. He told the court that one of the bullets that pierced into his body still remained inside, while two others were removed.
He prayed to the court to direct the police to return his revolver that was seized from him during investigation of the case. He also told the court that his gun got locked when he was attacked and that was why he was unable to retaliate. The case was adjourned to Wednesday. The court directed the MLA to file a separate petition, seeking return of his revolver.
