KCR promises funds in budget for GHMC
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said the government would earmark special funds for the development of Greater Hyderabad in the annual budget 2017-18 .
Hyderabad: State government has decided to come to the rescue of cash-strapped Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

The Chief Minister reviewed the ongoing demolition of the illegal structure on nalas, tanks and storm water drains in the city. He directed the officials to complete the demolition drive and protect the city from inundation during rains.
He was informed that nearly 400 structures were razed down till Wednesday evening. The Chief --minister told the officials that the government would provide funds for road repairs.
KCR instructed the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao to prepare city development plan with the assistance of the banks.
The government would provide guarantee for the loans to be taken from the financial institutions, the Chief Minister said. He also asked KTR to prepare a detailed report on road damage and submit the same to the Centre and seek its assistance.
The officials were also asked to come out with proposals to establish townships with the partnership of farmers around Greater Hyderabad. MAUD Special Chief Secretary MG Gopal and other officials were also present in the meeting.
