TRS hits back at Congress on criticism over demonetization

While Congress criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's move on demonetization of big currency, the ruling party in Telangana, TRS hit back on the issue.

Alleging that the Modi government failed to bring back the black money stashed in banks abroad, Congress MLA from Gadwal, DK Aruna on Friday said that there is a larger conspiracy running behind the demonetization move and the PM has scrapped big currency only for his political gains.

She further said that demonetization is a surgical attack on the common man. Telangana Congress also criticized Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for maintaining silence on the issue. Responding to the allegations, TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar alleged that Congress is the main source for black money and has indulged corruption in every form.

He further said that TRS would respond to the demonetisation of currency at the appropriate time.
