Thoguta (Siddipet): Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao, who visited Vemulghat village on Friday, took a swipe at Chinna Jeeyar Swamy for inaugurating Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s swanky new office-cum-residence in Hyderabad.

Addressing the media, Hanumantha Rao said that the Swamiji, instead of giving vasthu-related advice to the Chief Minister, should focus on the welfare of the people. “He should look at the misery of the people, instead of attending ceremonies of the rich.

He should advice the CM about doing justice to the victims of the Mallanna Sagar reservoir,” he remarked. On KCR’s idea of conducting ‘Praja Darbar’ at his office, Hanumantha Rao sought to know why it took the CM three years to do that. “Only because of elections in two more years he is playing these tricks. He was accessible only to a select few whenever he went to his farm house or his relatives’ residences.

Even Ministers couldn’t enter the previous camp office without his permission,” he pointed out. Hanumantha Rao hoped that Vemulghat would become an inspiration for other villages like the movement in Singur, West Bengal. The people of Vemulghat would have the support of Congress party come what may, he added.
