Hyderabad: TDP working president A Revanth Reddy on Monday demanded that the Assembly Winter Session beginning from December 16 should continue for at least 20 days.

Speaking to the media after the TDPLP meeting at NTR Trust Bhavan here, he said the party discussed the strategy to be adopted during the Winter Session. Revanth Reddy said a delegation of his party would meet the Union Agriculture Minister on December 14 and 15 to apprise him of the agrarian problems in the State.

The Union Minister would be informed about the diversion of Central funds meant for agriculture sector. The party would also urge the Centre to accord national status to Pranahita- Chevella project and also to take action against companies involved in supplying and making substandard seed. The party would also raise issues of students’ fee-imbursement and farmers’ problems in the Assembly.
