TUWJ threatens to lay siege to Assembly
Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) here on Monday threatened to lay a siege to the Assembly to press its demand for accreditation for all working journalists. The union objected to the journalists being asked to specify their educational qualifications for granting accreditation.

TUWJ-IJU demanded that the State government amend the G.O.No. 239 and give accreditations for all working journalists. Speaking to the media here on Monday, TUWJ leaders K Srinivas Reddy, D Amar, Y Narender Reddy, Virahath Ali and T Koti Reddy said the demand by the medium and small newspapers was justified. They demanded that the State government extend the Arogyasri reimbursement scheme to journalists on a par with the State government employees.
