Cops seize 37 lakh in new notes 

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police on Tuesday seized Rs 37 lakhs, all in 2,000 denominations, from two individuals. On credible information, Mailardevpally police caught G Thimma Reddy, realtor from Gachibowli and V Naga Mallesh Rao of Shamirpet near Kattedan and recovered bags filled with the new currency.

Police said the duo could not give satisfactory reply as to the source of money and the purpose of carrying such huge amount. Consequently, a panchanama was conducted and both detained individuals were handed over to the Income Tax officials for further enquiry and action.
