Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on Monday was conferred with an honorary doctorate at the sixth convocation of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Hyderabad. President Pranab Mukherji bestowed the actor with the Honorary Doctorate.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on Monday was conferred with an honorary doctorate at the sixth convocation of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Hyderabad. President Pranab Mukherji bestowed the actor with the Honorary Doctorate for contribution towards promotion of Urdu culture.

Speaking on the occasion, Shah Rukh Khan said that he doesn't know whether he deserves the honour or not but added that he is happy to receive it.

Remembering his educationist father, Taj Mohammed Khan at the event, the actor shared that he would have been happy if he witnessed all this. Also, SRK expressed his happiness on recieving the honour in Hyderabad, which is the birthplace of her mother.

Shah Rukh also said that he would take the honour as a huge responsibility in the field of education, Urdu and in other languages further promising to take it to the best of his capabilities in whatever he knows.
